ή) Β
System for locking an access door to a space, in particular a toilet for a railway vehicle.
The present invention relates to a system for locking an access door to a space, in particular a toilet for a railway vehicle, the closed door extending in a plane defining an interior side of the system oriented towards said space, and a exterior side oriented opposite the space, the system comprising a frame configured to be fixed in a door frame, and a deadbolt movable in translation relative to the frame between an extended position and a retracted position.
Locking systems are known which make it possible to open and close the door from inside or outside the toilet by actuating opening members, such as handles or crutches, to lock the door from the inside by actuating a locking button, and to manually lock the door by actuating an external lock, for example with Berne key. The Berne keys are standard keys in the railway sector, which were defined by the Berne Convention in 1886.
It is also known to display, especially outside, if the door has been locked by a user.
In addition, it is known to add, at the request of the customer in the railway sector, elements to the locking systems. This sometimes leads to an in-depth modification of the design of the locking system, or even a new design. This results in a higher cost price of the locking system as soon as it moves away from a "basic" design.
An object of the invention is therefore to provide a locking system of the type described above, and at a reduced cost, even in the presence of additional elements requested by a customer.
To this end, the subject of the invention is a system for locking an access door to a space, in particular a toilet for a railway vehicle, the closed door extending in a plane defining an interior side of the oriented system. towards said space, and an outer side facing away from the space, the system comprising:

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example and made with reference to the appended drawings in which:
FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view of a system according to the invention, seen from the outside,
FIG. 2 is also a partial perspective view of the system shown in FIG. 1, seen from the interior side, and
FIG. 3 is a complete exploded view of the system shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, seen from the outside, and
- Figure 4 is a full exploded view of the system shown in Figures 1 to 3, seen from the inside.
With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, a system 1 according to the invention is described. As can be seen in FIG. 2, the system 1 is integrated in a frame 3 of a door 5 for access to a space 7, in particular of the toilets of a rail vehicle (not shown).
The door 5, when closed, extends in a plane P (FIG. 2) defining an interior side A of the system 1 oriented towards the space 7, and an exterior side B oriented opposite the space . The door 5 is for example swing, or sliding.
The system 1 comprises a frame 10, for example in two parts 10A and 10B which can be assembled one on the other, configured to be fixed in the frame 3 or, in a variant not shown, in the door 5.
The system 1 comprises an interior locking plate 12, a locking button 14, an exterior locking plate 16, a deadbolt 18, a connection system 20 mechanically connecting the deadbolt to the interior locking plate or to the locking plate. external locking, an external manual locking plate 22, and a lock 24 situated on the external side B and configured to drive the external manual locking plate in rotation relative to the chassis 10.
System 1 is modular. Optionally, the system 1 comprises one or more of the following elements: an interior manual locking plate 26, an exterior automatic locking plate 28, an actuation system 30 for actuating the exterior automatic locking plate, an interior automatic locking plate 32, and an electric strike 34, so as to create different configurations of the system.
The frame 10 is advantageously designed to accommodate the aforementioned basic elements of the system 1, as well as the optional elements. All of these elements, with the exception of the locking button 14, are for example mounted inside the frame 10, the locking button being located outside the frame 10 on the inner side A.
The part 10B of the frame 10 has for example a general form of plate parallel to the plane P. The part 10B defines an outer telescope 36 located substantially on the outer side B).
Part 10A has for example a general form of a box, part 10B of which forms a cover. Part 10A defines an inner window 38 (Figure 4) located on the inner side A.
The inner locking plate 12 includes an outer face 12A facing the inner side A, and an inner face 12B facing the outer side B. The inner locking plate 12 is substantially parallel to the plane P.
The external face 12A comprises a first visual and advantageously tactile sign S1, representative of a "free" state of the space 7, and a second visual and advantageously tactile sign S2, representative of a "occupied" state of this space.
The inner locking plate 12 is mounted so that it can rotate about an axis D relative to the frame 10 between an open position, in which the first sign S1 is aligned with the inner window 38, and a closed position (shown in the figure 4), in which the second sign S2 is aligned with the inner window.
The axis D is substantially perpendicular to the plane P.
The locking button 14 is located on the interior side A and configured to rotate the interior locking plate 12.
The external locking plate 16 is substantially parallel to the internal locking plate 12. The external locking plate 16 has an external face 16B (FIG. 3) facing towards the external side B, and an internal face 16A (FIG. 4) facing towards the inner locking plate 12.
The external locking plate 16 is substantially symmetrical with the internal locking plate 12.
The outer locking plate 16 is mechanically linked to the inner locking plate 12.
The external face 16B comprises a third visual and advantageously tactile sign S3, representative of the "free" state, and a fourth visual and advantageously tactile sign S4, representative of the "occupied" state of space 7.
The outer locking plate 16 is integral in rotation about the axis D with the inner locking plate 12 between an open position, in which the third sign S3 is aligned with the outer window 36, and a closed position (shown in the Figure 3) in which the fourth sign S4 is aligned with the outer window.
The external locking plate 16 in order to be rotationally integral with the internal locking plate 12 comprises, for example, on its internal face 16A housings suitable for receiving elements projecting from the internal face 12B of the internal locking plate 12 coming to be inserted in said housings (see FIG. 3).
The deadbolt 18 is movable in translation relative to the frame 10 between an extended position (shown in FIG. 1), occupied when the inner locking plate 12 is in the closed position, and a retracted position (not shown) occupied when the inner locking plate is in the open position.
The connection system 20 comprises, for example, a connecting rod 40 mounted on the internal locking plate 12.
The external manual locking plate 22 comprises an internal face 22A (FIG. 4) substantially parallel to, and located opposite, the external face 16B of the external locking plate 16, and an external face 22B (FIG. 3 ) facing outward side B.
The external face 22B comprises a fifth visual and advantageously tactile sign S5, representative of a "manual out of service" state of the space 7. The external manual locking plate 22 further defines a first window F1.
The external manual locking plate 22 is movable in rotation about the axis D relative to the frame 10 between a non-operating position (shown in FIG. 3), in which the fifth sign S5 is visible by the external window 4B6, and a neutral position, in which the first window F1 is aligned with the outer window.
Advantageously, the exterior manual locking plate 22 has a stop 42 (FIG. 4) configured to put the exterior locking plate 16 in its closed position when the exterior manual locking plate 22 is in the out-of-service position.
The internal manual locking plate 26 has a shape that is substantially symmetrical to that of the external manual locking plate 22.
The interior manual locking plate 26 is mechanically linked to the exterior manual locking plate 22.
The internal manual locking plate 26 comprises an internal face 26B substantially parallel to, and located opposite, the external face 12A of the internal locking plate 12, and an external face 26A facing the internal side A.
The external face 26A includes a sixth visual and advantageously tactile sign S6, representative of the “manual out of service” state of the space 7. The internal manual locking plate 26 further defines a second window F2.
The internal manual locking plate 26 is integral in rotation about the axis D with the external manual locking plate 22 between an out of service position (shown in FIG. 4), in which the sixth sign S6 is aligned with the internal window 38, and a neutral position, in which the second window F2 is aligned with the inner window 38.
The internal manual locking plate 26 comprises, for example, on its internal face 26B, a housing suitable for receiving a protruding element from the external face 12A of the internal locking plate 12 which is inserted in said housing (see figure 3).
The external automatic locking plate 28 comprises an internal face 28A substantially parallel to, and located opposite, the external face 22B of the external manual locking plate 22, and an external face 28B facing the external side B .
The external face 28B comprises a seventh visual and advantageously tactile sign S7, representative of an "automatic service" state of space 7.
The external automatic locking plate 28 further defines a third window F3. The external automatic locking plate 28 is movable in rotation about the axis D relative to the frame 10 between an automatic non-operating position (shown in FIG. 3), in which the seventh sign S7 is aligned with the external window 36, and a neutral position, in which the third window F3 is aligned with the outer window.
The internal automatic locking plate 32 has a shape that is substantially symmetrical to that of the external automatic locking plate 28. The internal automatic locking plate 32 is mechanically linked to the external automatic locking plate 28.
The internal automatic locking plate 32 has an internal face 32B substantially parallel to, and located opposite, the external face 26A of the internal manual locking plate 26, and an external face 32A facing the internal side A .
The external face 32A includes an eighth visual and advantageously tactile sign S8, representative of the "automatic service" state of space 7.
The interior automatic locking plate 32 further defines a fourth window F4.
The inner automatic locking plate 32 is integral in rotation about the axis D with the outer automatic locking plate 28 between an automatic non-operating position (shown in FIG. 4), in which the eighth sign S8 is aligned with the telescope interior 38, and a neutral position, in which the fourth window F4 is aligned with the interior window.
The actuation system 30 comprises for example a jack 44 mounted on the external automatic locking plate 28 to actuate the latter in rotation relative to the frame around the axis D.
One or more of the interior locking plate 12, the exterior locking plate 16, the exterior manual locking plate 22, the interior manual locking plate 26, the exterior automatic locking plate 28 and the interior automatic locking plate 32 respectively form an advantageously partial disc, in which an angular sector around the axis D is at least partially withdrawn, or perforated, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
The electric strike 34 is movable between a blocked configuration adapted to automatically lock the door 5, for example by retaining a latch bolt of the door 5 (not shown), and a removable configuration, adapted to allow the door to be opened, even if a door latch is engaged in the electric strike.
The operation of system 1 will now be described.
When the space 7 is free to use by a user (not shown), the door 5 is not locked. The locking button 14 is then, in the example shown, in a vertical position deduced from that shown in FIG. 2 by a quarter-turn rotation upward about the axis D. The locking plate inner 12 and the outer locking plate 16 are then in their open positions. The deadbolt 18 is in its retracted position, which is deduced from that shown in the figures by a translation of the deadbolt towards the inside of the frame 10. The first sign S1 and the third sign S3 are aligned respectively with the inner window 38 and the outer window 36.
The external manual locking plate 22 is in its neutral position, in which the first window F1 is aligned with the external window 36. Likewise, the external automatic locking plate 28 is in its neutral position in which the third window F3 is aligned with the outer window 36. Thus, the third sign S3 representative of the "free" state of the door 5 is visible from the outside side B through the first window F1, the third window F3 and the outer window 36.
Likewise, the interior manual locking plate 26 is in its neutral position, so that the second window F2 is aligned with the interior window 38. The exterior automatic locking plate 32 is also in its neutral position, so that the fourth window F4 is aligned with the inner window 38. Thus, the first sign S1 also representative of the "free" state of the door 5 is visible from the interior side through the second window F2, the fourth window F4 and the inner window 38.
The user can then open the door 5 and enter the space 7. The user closes the door 5 and locks it with the locking button 14 by placing it in the position shown in FIG. 2. This movement of the locking button 14 drives the block formed by the inner locking plate 12 and the outer locking plate 16 in rotation about the axis D towards the respective closed positions of these plates. Via the connection system 20, this activates the deadbolt 18 from its retracted position to its extended position, and locks the door 5.
The second sign S2 and the fourth sign S4 are then aligned respectively with the inner bezel 38 and the outer bezel 36 and are visible respectively from the inner side A and the outer side B.
To exit, the user unlocks the door 5 by actuating the locking button 14 to return the interior locking plate 12 and the exterior locking plate 16 to their open positions. This returns the deadbolt 18 to its retracted position and the door 5 can be opened.
To put the space 7 in the "manual service" state, an operator (not shown), a priori belonging to the train crew, acts on the lock 24 using a key (not shown). The action on lock 24 moves the external manual locking plate 22 from its neutral position to its closed position (shown in Figure 3). The first window F1 and the second window F2 are then no longer aligned with the outer bezel 36 and the inner bezel 38. The fifth sign S5 and the sixth sign S6 are however aligned with the glasses. The fifth sign S5 is visible through the outer bezel 36 and the sixth sign S6 is visible through the inner bezel 38.
The exterior manual locking plate 22 drives the interior manual locking plate 26 in rotation about the axis D. Likewise, the exterior manual locking plate 22 drives, thanks to the stop 42 (FIG. 4), the locking plate outer 16 and the inner locking plate 12 rotating about the axis D to bring them into their respective closed positions. This, by means of the connection system 20, moves the deadbolt 18 again to its extended position, which locks the door 5.
Regardless of the "free" or "occupied", "manually locked" state or not of door 5, the latter can be locked automatically by means of the electric strike 34. To do this, the electric strike 34 switches from its removable configuration to its blocked configuration.
To display the “automatic off” state of space 7, the actuation system 30 actuates the external automatic locking plate 28 in rotation about the axis D, from its neutral position to its automatic off position. The third window F3 is then no longer aligned with the outer screen 36. On the other hand, the seventh sign S7 is aligned with the outer screen 36 and visible through the latter.
The interior automatic locking plate 32, being mechanically integral with the exterior automatic locking plate 28, also changes from its neutral position to its position when it is not in automatic service. The fourth window F4 is no longer aligned with the inner window 38, but the eighth sign S8 is. Thus, from the interior side A, it is the eighth sign S8 which is visible through the interior window 38.
Thanks to the elements described above, the system 1 is of reduced cost, even in the presence of the optional elements that are the interior manual locking plate 26, the exterior automatic locking plate 28 and the interior automatic locking plate 32.
In addition, thanks to the optional elements, the system 1 has a modular character. More specifically, the optional presence of the Interior manual locking plate 26 makes it possible to create a visual and tactile indicator module "out of service" inside the toilet when door 5 is in the "out of manual service" state.
The optional presence of the external automatic locking plate 28 makes it possible to create a visual and tactile indicator module "automatic service" outside the space 7 when the door 5 is in the "automatic service" state.
The optional presence of the interior automatic locking plate 32 makes it possible to create a visual and tactile indicator module "automatic service" on the interior side A when the door 5 is in the "automatic service" state.
